I would like to personally thank all of the volunteers both past and present who work or have worked tirelessly to support our Club in all sorts of ways to make the Club what it is today.

Being nominated for an award such as this was both a surprise and an honour. Making it through to the final was amazing and being in the same room as greats such as Steve Glasson, Kelvin Kerkow and Karen Murphy was something else. It also gave me an opportunity to speak with members of the Board of Bowls Australia and sit at the Victorian table hosted by Tony Sherwill (CEO Bowls Victoria) all of whom were very interested and extremely positive and complimentary about Werribee’s initiatives to increase participation.

From a Club perspective this and the other awards that have come our way are all about promoting our Club within the Wyndham community to increase participation and support development of our undercover facility.

It goes without saying, that we all need to be on the same train going in the same direction. Anything that you can do to support the Club and it’s initiatives can only enhance our chances! Have a think and ask yourself – “Is there anything/something that I can do personally to assist the Club as we move forward?” If so, please have a chat with a Bowls Committee member. Any assistance would be most welcome.
